Best Jamaica, I love the island, and the people.
Oh yeah. I almost visited, once upon a. I was very attracted to it, but the practicalities of getting there from Europe were quite an obstacle.
True, it’s easier when it’s at your backdoor.
But on the other hand, there are so many islands in that neck of the woods, I would do it if given the chance. The corals there are like no where in the world.
Hard to pinpoint which place I love the most. I love Seoul in South Korea, Bangkok in Thailand and all the New England states in US. The only country that I explored outside Malaysia are Singapore and the USA. So country wise, it’s USA but I love Seoul the most! You don’t have to go outside Seoul to experience the past; lots of ancient castles and traditional homes.
That’s really very interesting. I’ve never travelled further east than India, nor further west than New York 🙂
I’ve only been to Canada besides the U.S. but that’s not very far to travel (12 hour drive). I’d love to go to lots of different places though….a lot in Europe.
I hope you make it to Europe too, Mom. There is so much variety here within short distances 🙂
Well then I better make lots of money here…lol! But I would really love to be able to go…maybe one day!
I’ve never been out of the U.S But Italy, Wales and Jerusalem are places I hope to visit someday!
Those are all wonderful places, Michelle, and pretty much in the same direction from your point of view! I do hope you get to go there 🙂
I haven’t traveled that much, but I like Greece and Italy. I’ve only been to Rome though, I’d love to visit more places there.
I love both of those countries too, Ellie! I spent a month cycling around mainland Greece when I was younger, and Italy is just fabulous, both north and south. I’ve spent time in Sicily and Sardinia in the last couple of years, and I’m heading to Rome for a few days soon 🙂
That’s awesome! I hope you have a wonderful time in Rome! Do you have favorite places in Greece? I love the Ionian Islands and Athens.
The worst country was Canada. Toronto was like visiting Chicago, where I live.
Best was southern France. I’m fascinated by the Medieval period and I got to see some towns from back then.
Oh, I do love France, Gary. All of southern Europe holds a strong attraction for me – and luckily I can fly there for a tenner if I’m flexible in terms of timing 🙂
Since I’m majority Italian I’d like to see more of my ancestral homeland. When I visited southern France, I flew into Milan and took the train to Monte Carlo. That’s as much of Italy as I’ve seen.
And there’s a whole lot more waiting for you, man!
The only nations I have traveled outside of Panama have been the U S and Canada in 1976 to see the Summer Olympic Games in Montreal. Canada was nice place to visit.
I’ll bet it was. I’ve only crossed the Atlantic once, about 20 years ago, when I spent an entire week on Manhattan Island. I had a lot of fun, but somehow I’m more attracted to going east and south.
Living in Louisiana is all right with me.
I rarely travel, money is the problem!
I know! I guess the whole budget airline phenomenon is confined to Europe. If I’m flexible, I can fly to a different country and back for less than 20 bucks 🙂
I don’t have a favorite and I have visited many, but the Canadians were so rude I really didn’t enjoy it at all.
That’s interesting! I’ve never been to the country myself, but I thought that the stereotype is that they are nice and polite.
I’ve met lots of Canadians and found all of them helpful and polite, but I guess all of our experiences differ 🙂
Great travel questions. i am boring like Carol lol. I can’t afford it for one reason
Well, as I said to Carol, you can travel a lot within such a huge country without any need to cross borders 🙂
That was interesting. I am boring, never traveled or lived in a another country.
Well, the thing about the US (or Russia, I guess) is that it’s such an enormous country, that you don’t need to leave its shores in order to fly for hours to a different time zone and experience a completely different weather and (in some cases) cuisine. So Americans definitely are different! And PS you are not boring, my friend 🙂
Worst country was Slowenia. We stuck in traffic for 5 hours. Usually you need maybe 2 hours to pass it but we needed 5.
Oh that was unfortunate! What was the best country you visited?
