I am working on the fraction lesson plan to teach my eldest. My first lesson is to fold an A4 paper into different portions, and write the fraction numbers on them, so it’s easier to grasp the concept how big it is for these fractions.
I guess the easiest way to explain fraction in our daily life is when we are eating pizza as we are usually cutting the whole pizza into pieces, and each of us get a fraction of the pizza. We also use the term fraction when we are doing paper folding or origami.
