We were in Phuket Province to witness the “The Vegetarian Festival.” The festival is now over so from Phuket, Province we moved to another island. It took us around 40 minutes from Ratsada Pier to Kho Yao island by a speedboat. While on a short boat trip we saw some shoal of fish and jellyfish on the way. We did not have any problem and, we reached our destination safely.
Where is Kho Yao? In Thai Kho means island and Yao means long. There are two Kho Yao islands. The two islands are named Yai and Noi which means big and small. Kho Yao is a Thai-Muslim community. Yai is our first stop technically, but we decided to see what’s in Noi first. Smaller but more developed island than Yai. There are only around approximately 5500 people living here. Accommodation and restaurants are not a problem. Them recreational activities here are also variety from rock climbing, snorkeling, boat trip (island hopping) bird watching hornbill in particular, and of course beautiful beaches.

Great article, yet another holiday destination for my bucket list. This is thanks to you.
You’re welcome really it was a nice place
Gorgeous photos! I love the waves and the clouds!
Thank you. waves and clouds .. hmm a good title for the next article.
I actually like monsoon season (I know it isn’t the same as a typhoon)
yes they are not. monsoon season, just a rainy season. But sometimes it brings strong wind and heavy rains also and lasted for days.
Monsoon season is nice if you can stay indoors, drink beer and watch Jackie Chan movies…
so True, I like Jackie Chan’s movies too, but when it is raining I like to sleep more.
I’d like to sleep, too. Usually not an option for me, though…
Beautiful and impressive tour!
Because of typhoons, I have to blame Google Map for I intend going to the restroom but I arrived at the attic.
wow your house is that big and you need to use google map to go to the restroom? more impressive than my tour.
Of course, more impressive than your tour. To be sure, I use google map, not because of the size but about my senility
come on… a person like you, senile? wow… you must be a genius. imagine you can write well written article while being senile? Impressive!!!
Mmmhhh… I think… That’s just part of the natural wonders.
Wonderful islands and beaches – I’m sorry I will never visit it
yeah you have fright on planes. it is okay that’s the best in the internet and books we can go anywhere without leaving the house.
Beautiful water and waves.
Oh yeah such a beauty. especially if you will see those islands? oh my..
If a typhoon is coming, I am out of there!
lol. I have seen here rainfall coming from the sea. Never had experienced that before.
That is good you have not experienced it yet.
Not yet. but here I saw the rain coming from the sea towards the shore. amazing then not to get wet with it, we went under the sea
Great place… I’d love to visit him
This is indeed a nice place. For me it is expensive trip but for those who came from Europe or US it is cheap because the prices for example is just a few dollars. a meal is a dollar and half. accommodation is 15 dollars. a day
