Simple joys. I always enjoyed them, but travels have greatly enhanced them. Even after a rainy walk to the jungle, listen to the flooded mountain river. Look at the white splashes, watch the water wash over the rocks, hear the hissing life reaching all corners of the island.
And then, after half an hour after water sounds, the silence fills in, and the cycads, crickets, frogs, birds join. I have always been a child of nature, but in distant exotic lands that love has ripened and blossomed.
Nature is full of life in all its forms: smells, tastes, heat, humidity, colors, even the softness of its land.
Often you really miss those simple things that you no longer notice in everyday things. We forget that contact with nature so often…
Like each of us. How juicy that life is!
