Some types of orchids have flowers similar to insect females, so they attract only males that are the only pollinators. In addition to the shape and color that resembles the female, the flowers also emit blossoms of similar substances as they are secreted by females at the time of mating. These substances attract pollinators remotely. On the flower, pollinators are guided by optical signs. The hairiness of the mouth and the patterns are provoked when they touch the mating instinct; while the pollen is taken up by the pollen of the pollen and then taken to another flower.

Great flower beauty, thank you very much for sharing!!!
Thanks for viewing and friendly comments dear Anastasia
For years I avoided growing orchids because I thought they would be hard to grow but a few years ago a scratch and dent store in my neighborhood started selling beautiful orchids at an irresistible price and when they were done blooming I repotted them and kept them for the foliage. To my great surprise they rebloomed. So pretty.
Thanks for viewing and friendly comments-another beautiful story about orchids – thank you once again dear Ann
I am not home enough this year to have any orchids in house and do miss them, lado.
I see dear Ann-also on Viriliyu you are a little more-enjoy life
Wow, these are very beautiful! Interesting facts too.
Thanks for viewing and friendly comments dear friend
Is that uncommon, that only males produce pollen?
It is unusual because other flowers are pollinated by both men and women
if the females also pollinate, they aren’t actually female…
I totally agree with you
not that it really matters in a plant
They are all beautiful, right?
True, each one is very beautiful in its own way
Nice orchids! I love all of them.

To tell you the thruth Lado, I do not know a flower from another one. I just know that most of them are simply gorgeous and fragrant. Your orchid pictures and their splashing colors is phenomenal. Thank you for educating me on the fact that pollinators are divided in male and female. Another fact I did not know about.
Thanks for viewing and friendly comments dear friend
