My family just came back from Melaka and we tried the Nyonya food there… We went to a Restaurant which is recommended by my dad’s friend.
It was located near to the famous Jonker Walk (which is within walking distant from the Red Houses)…
Nyonya food is known to be spicy and this meal proved just that … the food is way toooooo spicy and we’re struggling to finish them! Well, except for the Rendang Chicken, which is the only dish my family and I love. The price isn’t that cheap but reasonable.

Yes, I would try any of those dishes, in a heart beat! I would take your warning though and be sure to have something to drink in case it was too hot. I like spicy, but one time I bent over to smell food that was so peppery that I started crying and my contact lens fell in the food!
OMG!! Lol, so did you manage to retrieve the lens?
Now you know not to smell spicy food of any kind :p
My late husband fished it out and rinsed it off in a glass of water, alibb. When we got back to the hotel room I washed it really well with soap and water and put it back in my eye. It was fine. I don’t think you can do that with the kind of lenses they make now, but these were the early ones and less permeable.
I assume they’re not soft lens?
Soft lenses had not yet been invented.
Southeast Asia knows how to cook, I’d try anything from that neck of the woods
Hmm… yeah and the Nyonya are known for good cooking and craft skills
they certainly seem like cuisine I want to try
I did not try that food but it looks delicious
You can try them if you have a chance 🙂
They all look rather appetizing I must say
Yes, they do… but are very spicy
Not familiar but they all look tasty.
If only they taste as good … hehe
I would love to try it. They all look like they would taste good.
They would taste good if you can take spiciness and if you find a good restaurant…
i won’t recommend this one.
I did not try that food, but I loved it
oh, thanks for sharing with us 🙂
