After a certain age, many people want to retire to the country, in a quiet area. Given that the urban agglomeration is getting more and more tiring, most of them are mainly headed to the mountain areas, due to the many advantages they have. It is known that the place where we live affects our well-being, whether we want it or not. And, most of the time, life in the country is winning after a theoretical calculation. We think that living in the province also contributes to our mental well-being and physical health.
“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.” – John Muir

I am happy where I am 🙂 I am in the hills, about 20 minutes drive from the mountains, 10 minutes drive from the nearest town, 90 minutes drive to the capital. I grew up in the city, but could never live there now.
You are lucky to live in such a place from where you can move quickly in many directions!
I would love to live in such place. I can imagine the fresh air in the summer mornings..
Mountains, forests and fresh air! It’s wonderful, isn’t it?
Mountains are my pick. They are not too far away.
I live in a hill area, at a distance of 80 km from the mountains. I get to them in less than 1 hour and a half.
Maybe not in the mountain, but I love living near the mountains and beeing able to see them every day. Wonderful photo!
On clear days, I see the mountains from the balcony, although it is 80 km away! ?
living in mountain is always great
Mountain air reduces stress.
I love nature and would prefer a mountain area with a lake or river nearby. Beautiful photo.
I imagine a house on the shore of a lake in the middle of the mountains! It would be nice!
Your picture is beautiful but I would prefer to live near the beach.
Thank you. I like the mountain and the sea but the sea is too far! ?
my first choice is to live by the water. I do enjoy the moutains but it would probably be my 3rd choice.
I love the picture!
There are places where you can enjoy the mountain and the water at the same time!
you are right there are such places. I would in fact be happy there!
At least for a vacation…
we vacation in the moutains frequently! there are smaller mountains (compared to the ones in your picture) less than an hour from where we live now!
