Nature Tuesday – "Green gold"

The hops grow spontaneously, clinging to the trees, at the edge of the forests,  along the running water and on the fences. Prefers regions rich in rainfall. It blooms in the summer months: July-August.

The hops  is used primarily as a bittering, flavouring, and stability agent in beer, but this medicinal plant, also called “green gold” has invaluable health benefits. Due to its sedative effect, hops are used in treatments that help to regulate nervous disorders, to cure gastric and rheumatic disorders. A cup of hop cone tea is all you need to get back to a stressful and tiring day at work.
