While I was working my boss got a posting in Switzerland and was residing in San Diego, USA. His wife told me about trains that run along the coast of California an experience I should have if I ever plan to make a trip to the US.
Years later when I went on that package tour of the US extending my stay to spend time with friends and family I had asked one of my friends to book two tickets for us for this spectacular journey – from San Jose to Oxnard.
It was exactly what my boss’s wife had described. It was a straight course right through Each time I looked out it was the sea and more sea.
Our train got terminated at Santa Barbara due to some fault but a bus was awaiting us for our onward journey to Oxnard where my nephew was waiting for us. We had emailed him. That journey by bus was an icing on the cake as we went through a lot of scenic beauty

This must have been a really interesting ride, dear friend
It was truly a memorable experience
It’s nice to travel with someone that I love.
Nice to see you here I am bestwriter at FC
It matters not if I am alone or not.
I loved the coastline of California, Oregon and Washington. I’d love to take a train trip some time if I could stop along the way.
I am sure there will be trains that would do that for you
Sounds like a great journey, I prefer alone.
This was not in the group. After the package tour it was with family and friends covering other states that way.
Well heck I would know this cove from anywhere. It is the La Jolla point. I would love to take this journey. I have done it but stopped in Anaheim, and I was only 8. Did you know this is where the harbor seals give birth each spring here? Just on the other side of the point.
That is nice to know some info on the side (lol)
I love group travel , and long journey
The particular travel was with friends, after the package tour was over.
