My daily picture – The golden fruit of autumn

The autumn of my childhood had a smell of quince. My mom used to bring them to the house and put them on the cupboard, on the table, or at the windows. She said they have beneficial effects on our psyche to fight anxiety and depression, and nervousness … go out on the window.

It’s the time of the quinces! It’s time for memories!

Today my autumn smells like quince jelly.

  1. I remember mangos when I lived in La Boca Panama since there was a tree in the open grass area between the back yard and a street that went to what was then Canal Zone Junior College which is now a military school for Panamanian students.
