My daily picture – Flock of birds on the lake

Despite the low temperatures of the last few days, we have enjoyed a mild winter so far. The only sign that we are still in the winter season is the partially frozen lake. Along with the seagulls who are regular guests in these places, I have seen a pair of winter swans on the lake. Their size is similar to the summer swan, but it is a more dynamic bird. The neck is held upright, not bent S-shaped while it floats on the water.

“There’s a double beauty whenever a swan Swims on a lake with her double thereon.” – Thomas Hood
