Two days ago, on the15th. December 2019, Charlotte Henderson, and her husband John celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary, they are both from Austin, Texas. But they have possibly reached an even bigger milestone in that Charlotte is 105, and John is 106. The couple has recently been certified by Guinness Records as the oldest living married couple in the world.
Their combined age is 211 years, and as a well-deserved bonus, they are both in amazingly great shape for their age. John and Charlotte had met 85 years ago while sitting near each other in a college class at the University of Texas at Austin in 1934. It was at the height of the 1930’s depression so they didn’t get married right away, Instead, they both worked to save up some money before tying the knot in 1939. Their honeymoon hotel suite in San Antonio cost them the princely sum of just $7 a night!

Gee, that is a very interesting trivia. To stay married that long is certainly a record.
80 years is quite an achievement, especially in these times when most marriages don’t last longer than a Mayfly
