Another photo of one of my Magnolia blooms. This tree is full of the saucer sized blooms. And the birds are enjoying them as well. Eating the seeds in the middle. This is one of my favorite trees. Love the green shiny leaves year round. It is one I would definitely recommend to anyone starting a garden. Sharing the blue sky as well from underneath the magnolia tree. Have great day everyone!

Lovely flower, here where I live in Spring we have White, Pink and light purple and lemon yellow Magnolias.
I have not seen the purple or yellow, only the white and pink.
Gorgeous! I love magnolias!
Thanks, I do too Ellie, they are really big blooms.
Are they difficult to take care of?
Not at all, just pick up the leaves when they fall, as they are not good for the lawnmower (found out the hard way) they are real thick. Other than that you do nothing.
Sounds great! I have heard that they require a lot, I am glad to hear that it’s not that hard.
I don’t do anything to mine and it is huge.
what a beautiful shot of a fantastic flower. I love magnolia trees!
Thanks Doc. I was under the tree to get this one. I love them as well.
They are the ultimate southern flower, we could argue cherry blossoms but that is more of a DC area thing.
Indeed you are right. And this type is called Southern Magnolia.
I much prefer Steel Magnolia’s (oh wait, that was a movie). 🙂
Funny man today Doc. 🙂
