Winter is a time when most plants in our latitude in nature and in the garden rest. From December to March blooms most potted plants that are grown so that brighten our winter home with flowered decoration. Flamingo is also one of these plants. It is a fan of higher temperatures and is ideally suited for heated homes. Of course, the proximity of the radiator does not suit any plant. In centrally heated apartments, the humidity in winter is greatly reduced, in some cases to 30 percent, while the plants would need at least twice as much, and this would further deplete them. In such circumstances, they like to be attacked by mites or whether they begin to yellow and dropping off leaves. Dry air is most easily tolerated by succulents, plants that store water in thick leaves or other organs, and green plants with compact waxy leaves such as flamingo. Larger groups of houseplants in one place are still most likely to increase air humidity.

I have plants indoors sometimes, I have a small place, nice plant here.
I have few plants indoors. They thrive better on the patio.
Such gorgeous flowers! I have a few flowerpots and I love them.
Thank you, Ellie. I also have some room flowers and I hope they survive the winter.
I have no houseplants because everything dies, dear Vidocka …
I also have quite a few problems with houseplants
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but no flower lasts me long, dear Vidocka
I suppose a lot depends on the moisture
But it is true that I have very warm … maybe too much heat does not suit them
What a wonderful share – the reality of humidity in the house is one that we combat often. It is really hard for us to keep plants inside the house alive.
You are right. I know the problems with moisture. My sister has a huge moisture problem.
yes we have a woodstove in our living room, It keeps the house warm, but sucks all the moisture out of the air.
This is a good solution. In our country, almost no one uses firewood stoves. The apartments are heated by central heating.
One of the reasons my wife wanted the house we bought was the woodstove. She likes to heat the living room up to as hot as it will get while relaxing at the end of the day! 🙂
I totally agree with your wife. I also need a lot of heat because I’m pretty much frozen. For me, the most pleasant heat comes from the wood (fireplace where we fire wood) ?
The only houseplant I’ve had much success with is the Spider Plant as it’s so hardy.
Unfortunately, I do not know this plant. I also don’t have much luck growing flowers.
Beautiful plant. I always bring in my Hibiscus from the deck indoors and it blooms year round.
Thank you. I didn’t know hibiscus blooms all year long. I thought she only worked in the garden.
I do not have indoor plants as we have a clear view of the garden sitting inside.
I envy you such a beautiful and large garden. I would have a garden like that.
