Long for Home

This time of year, this kind of site is common at home. There are many native rides and I am always there when I am home. This year I am nowhere near home and unless there are some major changes in the lockdowns, I won’t make it this year. (Although we have considered going out of our way to try and sneak around the restrictions.) Yes, I know it’s a bad idea and still, this would be the first year in 32 years that I did not make a trip home.

My heart longs for my homeland and my people.

  1. polls are flakey.

home, what we seek as much for what we miss and remember.

we often wander past places we once lived. Looking out the rearview mirror to remember. It is in going back that we recall why we left and what it means to return.
