Kim Johnson is continuing her Color Crazy Challenge Week 8 with a different color. Click the link if you want to join in on the fun to share the color! Black & White this week.
Another edited black and white flower for Kim’s challenge. Each year my garden is full of these yellow day lilies. They bloom for one day then more bloom the next day, all spring and summer long. I always look forward to seeing these lilies in full bloom.
On this February day I am sharing a black and white version, a winter version perhaps of the day lily from my garden. It is amazing how much detail you can see with the edit. Wishing everyone a great day and week!

My favorite flower is well there’s three really, Roses, Sunflowers and Dahlia’s .
Thanks for the comment Michelle!
I have answered “no” to all three. For number 1 because I like all the flowers, for the numbers 2 & 3 because I do not have that season. But for your photo, my 4 thumbs are attached there!
Thanks for explaining your answers.
My favorite flower is a snowdrop. I love spring and flowers. I no longer have room for more pots on the terrace.
Those are beautiful flowers and i have never had one in my garden.
Finally, I found a post by Carol DM after browsing through the feed hahaha I was already wondering if I should just look you up — anyway, beautiful capture as always, I love it
Thank you so much for visiting and your kind words.
Awwww my pleasure to read your posts ??
I’m looking forward to plant al my bulbs. I started this week with the lily bulbs left from last year, they were drying to much. I can’t wait to see them grow.
I am so ready for spring! I always am this time of the year.
I love the tone and texture along with the lighting, yellow works well! I answered Yes, on the first but I have many. No to the second our spring is our cold time here in Sandy Ego. Marine layer takes over most days.. And yes, by all means, I will have a container garden!
Thanks Kim. I did not know you had a cold spring.
Cold as in cloudy, foggy and in the 40’s through the 70’s.
This image of the flower looks great.
Thanks, much appreciated for your comment.
You are welcome Carol DM.
Tonality is the foundation of solid art, so I will reduce one of my pieces to greyscale for this challenge
I am so looking forward to that image Alex!
I lied: I found a black and white image and used that instead. Maybe next time?
Love the photograph and the edit…very pretty. Great poll too. I am looking forward to spring…but don’t have a favorite flower and won’t have a garden. I’ll visit my grandmother’s garden though!
Thanks Courtney, I have many favorites of flowers, hard to decide.
Well there are a lot of great choices, so that’s understandable!
What a beautiful photograph of the Lily! My favorite flower is the Magnolia 🙂 I hope you have a very blessed evening and weekend to come, Carol!
Thank you so much Windy, I love all kinds of flowers.
You have a great evening as well! So glad to have you here! 🙂
By the way I have a magnolia tree and will post some blooms later.
Awesome! 🙂 I look forward to enjoying those! I love all types of flowers, too; but there is just something about the Magnolia that I have always loved. I also love the candles and air fresheners that are Magnolia scented. The scent is so uplifting! 🙂
I know, we have always had magnloias in our yard, I grew up with them. The blooms and fragrance are beautiful.
