Jewel Joys ~ Day 295

Only 70 more days to go in this photo challenge I joined awhile back. I was so excited yesterday evening. I have been watching the hummingbirds fly from the feeder to the rosebush. But they are so quick I cannot get a photo. If the temperatures were not in the high 90s, I would sit out on the deck with my tripod. I can do that in early spring or fall. But not right now. So I took some random photos looking through the screen door. I zoomed in as much as I could, hoping the screen would not take over the hummingbird. I think it was sort of successful. Better than I thought. Still hard to see clearly but hopefully you can at least see him/her. It is amazing to sit and watch nature in my backyard. So cool also to see these hummers resting on my rosebush. Another special moment from Dustin’s garden. The title was inspired by an article I read where a lot of people refer to hummingbirds as jewels. Their luminous color shines in the sunlight like a jewel.

  1. This photo is so romantic.
Early in the morning, on a old tree, Pear you sat with a pair of titmouse.
That’s why I have painted a bird home today and I set it tomorrow.
