I absolutely love and appreciate creative teachers and there are many of them. One of my grandsons has a teacher that is trying something new and I think it is going to be interesting. She has given the students an assignment. “If you had a magic wand that could only be used for one thing one day, what would you use it for?”
The teacher reached out to several parents and grandparents to help with the project. Our assignment is to write one very positive response for the use and one negative response for what they used the wand for. The lesson is suppose to talk about consequences and and unintended consequences. I am thinking that some of you might have some great ideas to help me respond to the one I have been assigned! I mean, who doesn’t love homework!

For me, the answer wouldn’t be complex; to be better tomorrow than I am today. That is a perpetual thing, since each day that arrives is then today, so I’d still look forward to being better tomorrow.

May I ask the cost of the wand? We did this exercise in a class I took when I was working on my masters.

Good idea on magic wand, very positive gesture I would say.
It was fun to see what the students would do with it.
A magic wand for students is a great idea since we all wish we could find the magic formula for a happy life.
That is probably true. What brings you the most happiness?
Interesting idea about the magic wand. On the positive side, I would say using the wand to bring the world together in peace and harmony and on the negative side for personal gain.

Well yes there does seem to be a bug and that doesn’t help with anything does it. It tends to be a bit discouraging. Maybe it is time for me to take another break.
