I See The Sky ~ Sky Sunday

This is the umpteenth week I have arrived at the time to contribute to the Sky Sunday challenge. For there are many photos of the sky in my file as well as the sky images that I took today, so I had to choose one or several photos among all of them.

One by one I looked at the photos appreciatively, for some time, until I wonder after I felt of seeing how I was so seriously paying attention and comparing all of them, to choose. I could feel that I was admiring the pictures of the skies and at the same time evaluating it, but I could not describe the feelings which were observing my busy self. Somehow say it, maybe even less suitable to make a sentence by getting rid of the word “see” from the phrase “I see the sky”, I See The Sky.

.

I Sky. Do you understand what I mean? Do you feel the difference? Can you imagine how to step without feet in the sky?

When there is no distance, which cannot even be represented by the word “close or tight”, you are the sky, you are something open. In that state, dreams of reaching the sky are meaningless, so is “sky is the limit”.

In that state, we can begin to appreciate the mystical depth and simplicity of the experience of openness when we realize that openness is the nature of consciousness itself. A state where at the time after, when we return to the distance that exists, whether it’s an illusion or reality, we can say that we are the slit of the sky as a manifestation of the Absolute. Ah, I am reminded of Meister Eckhart’s phrase, “God is when you are not there.”

Become the sky or to be open, with all its definitions, means the absence of something. It’s giving up all the reasons that have succeeded in forming our self-identification as the content of our consciousness, with our opinions, memories, desires, aversions, self-concept, and other mental and emotional fixations. Conditioning that has gradually defined what we experience as real. Openness or walking on the open path is a form of surrender, steps of transcendence after we release anything from the grip of the hand on the complex idea of duality that holds us back with the power of Fear, Desire and Attachment to sink into the Love and Bliss.

  • Could the consciousness who represented by the word “I” disappear in a certain way or at a certain time?

    • Yes
    • No

  1. Thanks Albert, I look at the Sky and I am often so totally in awe and absorbed in it, I am unaware of myself at that point.
It is a mystery to read the Skies and find what it says to us about the weather, the greater realm than ourselves, creativity and always brings hope.

  2. What a stunning capture! The beauty of a sunset and a sunrise, or a look at the clouds or the starts, or even the moon, always remind me how small I am in the universe.

    • I have to be responsible to the sky if the picture of it that I show here doesn’t get praise from you, Ellie.

You are right about feeling small, even if we don’t exist. From a distance of 200-500 meters, I have disappeared from your eyes. Well, even though I can still see that cute rabbit from the other side of the Earth.

  3. First of all, an incredible photo Albert. And you know when we take the word I and ourselves out of any quotient it bings on an entirely different meaning and perception. More people should practice doing this simple exercise. The problem arises when some cannot get themselves out of their own way. They have to realize they are in the way first. Then the process can begin. Just my opinion.
