There are many types of Honeysuckle. Much of it grows wild. The bush in my garden started out as a tiny vine on my fence. It has grown into a large bush.
This one in my yard is called Japanese Honeysuckle and it multi-colored. Starts out solid pink then blossoms into two shades of pink, yellow and sometimes orange.
The birds and butterflies enjoy the sweet succulent nectar and blooms. I have often found bird nests in the bush as well.
A great bonus to your garden. The smell takes me back to my childhood.

What a cool video from 1901 Andre! Thank you so much. Very special. 🙂
Another beautiful shrub. I would love to see your garden live. 😊
Thanks, this started out as a small vine. They grow wild here too.
I told Doc last year I would make a video and I have not done it. Buy thank you!
I am sure I have seen them somewhere but not recently, so I am not really sure 🙂
Love your photos Carol!
They grow wild in most places. I love these in my yard.
So beautiful and thanks for sharing. Still too cold here for anything.
I hope you get warm weather soon. I actually prefer cooler weather. But the warm brings the blooms.
i love the blooms and always enjoy the posts you share when the bloom! they are a great addition as a living fence for any garden!
Thanks, I thought the same thing when this started out as a small vine on the fence. Amazing how fast it has grown.
it really is 2-3 feet in a year.
It is so big I often find bird nests in the plant.
yes, i remember trimming it at the mini-farm and finding many abandoned bird nests.
That is very beautiful. Along the way to the convenience store here there is a very fragrant bush and by the scent, I think it is honeysuckle
Thank you, another favorite in the yard. Many varieties and they are all fragrant.
I saw some white honeysuckle a few weeks ago and the first thing I thought of was a post of yours where I learnt its name.
Gorgeous photo, by the way!
Oh so happy you thought about me. That is so nice. Growing up we had mostly white and yellow. Thanks about the photo, I love these colors.
I always learn a lot here while enjoying the beautiful pictures.
I also learn form your posts. Wish I had more time.
