Gwadar is a port city on the southwestren coast of Balochistan, Pakistan. Word Gwadar is derived from two words “gwat” means wind and “dar”means gateway. Thus Gwadar means gate way of wind. Gwadar was part of Kingdom of Oman from 1783 to 1958. Pakistan purchased Gwadar from Oman in 1958 and it officially bacame part of Pakistan on 8th of December, 1958.
Gwadar has mountain that called Koh e Batil (Mountan of lie). Gwadar is 630 km from Karachi, 918 km from Quetta and 1820 km away from Islamabad.
Seaport of Gwadar rapitdly becoming financial hub of Pakistan as well as Asia. It is main centre of CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor).
