Do you know that we have a tradition to give free food to the people in the street during the Holy Week? It is called caridad which is the Spanish word for charity. The giving of food is a religious tradition of the old folks here. The big sign says libreng lugaw which is translated as Free Porridge.

We Sikh community started the tradition called ” Langar” which is basically known as free food which was Started by our Guru’s and every day you see Free food serving in Gurudwara’s ( Sikh Temple) and its not limited to India only but to different parts of the world.
That’s a noble tradition and a great help for those for are in need, congrats to the people who do it every year!
Quite a few people give food for free here in New Zealand
Yes , I know personally many people who are giving free food , and in US there is a Pakistan feeding thousand of poor people , last year he fed 16000 thousand people and this year his target is 25000 People.
There is a certain community that does that regularly but I have not seen it
A great thing to do for those in need.
