Giving free food to the public

Do you know that  we have a tradition to give free food to the people in the street during the Holy Week? It is called caridad which is the Spanish word for charity. The giving of food is a religious tradition of the old folks here. The big sign says libreng lugaw which is translated as Free Porridge.
