Fruit-flavored waters

It’s summer and it’s never too much to remember: at a time like this we should drink two liters of water a day, so that we can keep our bodies as hydrated as possible.

But the truth is that it is not always easy to ingest the sufficient and desirable quantities of water, and it is precisely to make this process easier that the solution to prepare a salvation drink: the flavored water. There are many options and the best part is that each one has its own advantages.

Just choose the flavor:

Watermelon – This option is ideal for those who do a lot of sport. Watermelon is a fruit that helps reduce our heart rate and decreases muscle soreness after training, as well as increasing energy levels, thanks to vitamin B6 and magnesium in its composition. The skin also appreciates since this fruit reduces the risk of damages caused by sun exposure. Add to your glass of water two slices of watermelon (cut into cubes), a little fresh basil and half a teaspoon of orange-flower water, not to mention ice;

Lemon – A classic. To prepare this water you need only the juice of half a lemon or even a whole lemon. Drink every morning as the lemon has the ability to boost your immune system and eliminate toxins, as well as being a diuretic, helping in the retention of fluids. You can also choose lemon combined with mint and cucumber, for a more detoxifying effect, regulating metabolism and digestion. (In this case, use four lemon slices, two slices of cucumber and four fresh mint leaves);

Apple – Slice an apple and prepare two cinnamon sticks to mix with the water. This formula is similar to water with lemon, and is also ideal for weight loss, as it also speeds up our metabolism;

Red fruits and lemon – Half cup of raspberries, half a cup of blackberries and half a lemon is all you need to prepare this soda. First, divide the fruits in half and place them in half a liter of water. Then, before drinking, let it macerate, until the properties of the fruits pass into the water.

  1. This is very nice. I drink homemade juices, but I prefer to eat fresh fruit. As I have it now, over the summer, I eat every day different kinds. Although, I admit, I do not like the watermelon. My choice is melon.

  2. I am used to drink enough water for a long time. In fact I drink more than one liter first thing in the morning and then drink a glass of water every 3 hours. Thanks for the suggestion!
