Father's genes decide whether girl or boy !

Men’s genes play important role in the birth of a son or daughter. This claim came in the wake of a medical study that came to the conclusion after hundreds of families were diagnosed with hepatic lineage. Research says , that the birth of more sons or daughters is related to inherited genes in men.

In easy words, a man who has more brothers, he has more likely to have sons in his home. While more sisters’s brother are more likely to have daughters.According to the scientists involved in the study, this ability inherently transfer  to men.

During this research, more than 5.5 million people were found by analyzing the genealogy of 927 families. The results suggest that the probability of having a male or female can be hereditary. We now know that these men have more sons, who has more brothers. If this is the opposite, daughters are more likely to be born.

Men determine the sex of a child. That is, they have X or Y chromosomes in their sperm. If the X chromosome matches the mother’s X chromosome, then a daughter (2 X chromosomes) is born. While the Y chromosome matches the X chromosome of the mother, then the baby is born.

A gene consisting of 2 parts, also known as allele that moves from parent to child separately, that is, men carry two different types of alleles. Which could potentially cause three combinations of one gene (one MM, the other MF and the third FF. which controls another Y chromosome rate.

In men who have MM, the Y chromosome is high,  in this scenario sons are more likely to be born. The second MF produces the same amount of X and Y chromosomes and the likelihood of an equal number of sons and daughters increases.Third FF produces more X chromosomes, which increases the likelihood of having daughters.

Research says , This gene is transmitted from parents to children and this is why some people have more sons, while some have more daughters and that explains the potential for a balance between the population of men and women.

  1. This is also what my aunty told me about what might be the gender for my baby.
She predicts that I’ll have a baby boy because my husband has two brothers and one sister, while I only have one little brother as my sibling.

  2. Interesting. I have a son, who is an only child, so I don’t know if that proves anything, especially as I was presumably an only child myself. I don’t know who my father was, but I have to presume that his liaison with my mother was a one-off!

I know two families of five children – one was three girls and two boys, the other was four girls and one boy. The father of the latter family was himself one of five children – all boys!
