Most of us eat chips and think why this packet is almost half empty and why is air packed in more than half the packet?
Sometimes we think that maybe this is also a way to rob consumers, to show a big packet and get a higher price but when it is opened, there are little chips in the layer.
The purpose of this move is to actually deliver the best product to consumers. The chips pack is filled with nitrogen gas which keeps the chips safe and fresh and In the absence of nitrogen gas oxygen can spoil the potato and oil in the packet.
Chips are also safe from breakage due to the packet being airtight and you can eat delicious chips. It is estimated that on an average, 43% of the packet is filled with air and some brands raise or lower this rate as well.
