As a Science student, I always thought of studying Engineering course in university. I chose Telecommunication Engineering and studied for one and a half year. Studying was fine, but I realized that I wouldn’t really like the work an engineer does or an engineer in my country does, after a lecturer shared his experiences with us. I finally decided to quit that Engineering course and studied Information Technology as I am more interested in programming.
I am glad I made the change as I enjoyed being a programmer, though some people commented I have wasted time, money or perhaps better opportunities. I think it’s good to know what we like and what we want, then go for it (as long as it’s not harmful to anyone and the earth).

I have achieved what I dreamed.
That’s great! So I suppose you feel contented now. 🙂
I had no idea, I tried many things, but if I went back I now know I would be a great nurse because I do that well
I think it’s still good to keep trying and find out what we are passionate about. I’d be happy to meet a nurse like you. 🙂
I moved with the flow and that is how I had no disappointments.
I still remember when I started my first job and read this quote “Let your heart be your guide”, and I am still always inspired by this now. 🙂
hopefully this works out for you
Yes, I am happy with the change, though I am now a stay-at-home mom.
there is nothing wrong with that, if that’s what you want
That is great you are doing what you want.
Yes, I am not really doing programming, but a stay-at-home mom now, I really enjoy taking care of my kids and homeschooling them. 🙂
Now that I have the opportunity to support my childhood dreams
That’s great! I always think we can always pursue our dreams….
