Count Your Blessings

A friend of mine called yesterday and all she had was complaints about everything in her life. After 20 minutes of the conversation I was feeling drained out, so I just stopped her and told her to start counting her blessings. I listed out all her blessings one by one and she eventually had to agree that her life was indeed good.

It is important to be aware of all the good things in our life. Writing a gratitude journal or just making a list in our mind everyday helps too.  If we want to live a happy  life it is imperative that we focus on the positives. It is easy to whine about the negative things in life but it will only take us into deeper depression and lousy moods.

Rejoice over the little things, rejoice over the fact that you are still breathing, many who went to bed last night did not wake up to see a bright new day. We can change our circumstances as long as we have breath in our bodies. So rejoice. Be happy!! Life is short, make it worthwhile!!
