“Hindsight is always an exact science.”
Our existence was a pioneering one, lasting for hundreds of years which was based on a “Bartering” or exchanging of goods and services, system.
Soon, ways will have to be found whereby wages and salaries for services rendered, will have to be settled by means other than in cash because companies can only pay for labor with cash generated by product sales. I.e. no sales no cash. This is why I suggested, an exchange of labor for products manufactured. Obviously, not all companies manufacture readily consumable products.
In case not all of us know what the quote means, here is an explanation (“something for something” in Latin) is a Latin phrase used in English to mean an exchange of goods or services, in which one transfer is contingent upon the other; “a favor for a favor”.

I won’t be surprised if we went back to that system of barter, but is is done on a small scale today
i’m sure it is happening in some places.
I think it happens here. I scratch my back and you will mine (lol)
That’s about the gist of it.
I think one of the worst things ever started was the credit system. It made people greedy thinking they were getting things for no money but a plastic card. Then they got into debt and could not pay their bills. It was my luckiest day when I got out of the credit trap and now I only use my debit card and I know how much I can or cannot spend
I don’t own much but I’m debt-free!
