Senna Alata is a medicinal plant, actually a bush. It is a very attractive and bountifully blooming bush growing to about 10 feet in height. It’s also known as emperor’s candlesticks, candle bush, candelabra bush, Christmas candles, empress candle plant or candle tree.
I saw this bush a few years ago on a piece of land we bought outside of the city. It grows wild there , but it is usually cultivated for its attractive waxy yellow blooms. Most people know it only as a ornamental plant.
The abundance of the blooms on the bushes seems like the dance of summer to me. I was delighted to see these bushes on my tiny parcel of land. They always bring such lovely memories to me. I wait for the day when I could get out of the city and live there in the midst of natures lap of luxury.
