Kim’s May challenge is almost over. I wanted to share at least one more photo to her Shadows and Silhouettes challenge. I captured this photo sitting on my deck. The hummingbird feeder is directly underneath this perch. The butterfly designed hanger is for the feeder and the wooden perch was added later giving them room to sit out and enjoy the view.
They hummers will sit there looking back and forth, their heads turning so fast, looking for other hummingbirds. They will not allow another bird on “their” feeder. So cool to watch these tiny birds in action. I did not plan on taking this photo. I was sitting on my steps watching the bluebirds, I looked over and saw the reflection of the butterfly hanger and had to take the photo.

My pleasure, I am glad to 🙂 🙂
Surely agree, once made unplanned photo of bumblebee on a flower, it still stays number 1 of all my nature photos.
Thanks for visiting and commenting Anastasia. I would love to see your photo.
One of my all time favorite photos was entirely unplanned. I was at the Acropolis in Athens when a stray cat came up to me looking for attention. I played with it for a bit and then put it up on a stone. There were a couple of tourists and the Acropolis in the background and the cat in the foreground. No way could I have set that up.
That is great Gary. So you know what I mean about unplanned photos, sometimes they are the best.
