This is not your regular red pasta or spaghetti… not even white or the carbonara. This pasta is black and it comes with some slices of squid rings. This is called… as the color suggests, Black Pasta!
Instead of the regular red or white or any other colored sauce, the sauce is primarily made of squid-ink. Thus it is black! It is quite tasty. Just make sure you wash your mouth first before you smile after eating this. (I think you are trying to imagine how your teeth would look after eating this by now.)
Unfortunately, the restaurant I know that serves this dish is still closed due to covid-19.

I haven’t seen this in any other restaurant either. But it is yummy.

It has been available to order in places I’ve been, the squid ink makes me nervous.

Our staple diet is rice and pasta in any form is not much consumed here.
You’re Asian, right? Me too and rice is our staple food too… But we always have food with foreign origin.
As I said to one of foreigner guest before, many of us are on ‘see food’ diet. Every food we see, we eat. Lol
I’ve never seen pasta like this before, but I like the sound of it.
It’s quite delicious actually. But it’s not easy to find… 🙁
