We certainly do not remember when and how we decided, then up or down from the invisible realm of pure life until we arrived and was on Earth, in the world of birth and death, the sensory world that we are living today. From that door, the door of birth that we pass through the door of mother – who is rightly deserved and we should love and respect – we enter the arena of struggle, the arena of continues war, both inside and outside ourselves.
Whether we realize it or not, the arena of life is only a battlefield for picking and gather the legacy of wisdom in open and hidden places, which is very clear and logical, also vague and doubtful, or even which is dark and full of mystery. For those who are aware of the meaning of life and life, who fully respect the life itself, aware that what is currently being done is merely the inclusion of billions of people in the arena, the arena of gladiators who know very well what needs to be fought for, and are prepared to face all risks, and especially, ready to approach and facing death.
The power of intelligent faith or belief that is full of openness and silence that observes behind the flicked of the sword at all times gives old manhood in all ages. Those who are conscious of life will become teachers who understand the true meaning of the word hope, inspire the hopes of those around them, from being modest to having a wise and deep understanding of it, while igniting the imagination and at the same time instilling a love for learning.
Javelin rock became spears of steel, swords became firearms – even nuclear bomb – the ink of the pen mutated into buttons – then touch screen and voice, formerly krisses, swords, and bludgeon, now sophisticated computers and the internet, became weapons of the new age gladiators, warriors of life who relied on the speed of information and adaptation. Those who play, to win or just to survive, whether in the long agony of fear and sadness or in the luxury of victory, or who struggle while observing at a single reality – who hugs the left and right on their chest – will get a personal victory even without medals, gold coins, throne, fame or mere flattery.

We are kind of gladiators. All our lives we must fight for our existence and for a better life.
That”s true, dear friend. Without that struggle and battle, we will not learn much.
life is less an arena and more of an open field. We do not need to arrive dressed in the garb of war. if we come with the heart of one ready to hear, to listen the world is better off.
With a pen or gadget, of course, we don’t need to wear armor on this earth arena, and certainly not with the passion to “fight” or do open battles (although there may also be many who are secretly conducting cyber warfare or proxy war) but instead fighting for life – by realizing that life is a struggle – striving to understand Love, striving to listen, striving to feel peaceful, or even just to understand ourselves.
i do often wonder that life is simply life. The struggle lies within us. Do we in going to war with ourselves limit?
I think the main struggle is within us, and the others that are outside are only a toolkit.
ah now we head to the dog philosophy.
there are two dogs eternally fighting within us
good
evil
or whatever names you choose.
the one that will win?
the one we feed.
Ah, yes … more or less like that,
Isn’t that philosophy derived from the story of the Indian tribe? Well, if I’m not mistaken…
you are correct, it comes in many variations. Sometimes it is dogs, sometimes it is two snakes consuming each other within us.
🙂
I agree with you Albert.
Nice to know, my friend! Now, let’s lift your sword… Oh… I mean, press your button!
I totally agree with you, my friend …. we are big gladiators and I just think that we can’t change much … more or less we can just watch this gladiator game
Thank you for agreeing with me, dear friend. We are indeed gladiators, regardless of whether we have changed much or not, certainly in the arena, we must come into play, at least for the sake of survival, and if we are clever enough – like you – we can enjoy the game in peace.
Above all, calm and thoughtful so as to be as stressful as possible, dear friend
I agree with you and another reason why I tend to stay in the background and observe. You learn a lot by doing this.
Yes, my friend. Observing while contemplating does give us many things.
