It is hard to find open spaces in the city. Open spaces have become prey to development. There is construction going on everywhere, trees are being uprooted in the name of infrastructure and development. Open spaces are the lungs of the city and we are becoming cities with no lungs. We cry about air quality becoming poor but do nothing but build more structures.
Slowly there are buildings coming up in our parks too. Land grabbing is the name of the game. Agricultural land has now become residential areas. People are selling farm land for profit and moving away. I always wonder if no one want to do farming or agriculture where will we get our food from.

Here it is the forests that have been converted to concrete jungles – a very sad situation.
Very sad and disastrous indeed. We seem to have no concern for the other inhabitants of the Earth.
Sadly, it is the same here.
Its time we changed our ways. 🙁
The dairy farm behind my home has 35 houses now. Not happy.
That is terrible. A real example of how we kill our breathing spaces.
We have some situations too when big trees are cut down in parks, squares, making open areas without any greenery. I do not like this, some people even going to protest against trees cutting.
I have been involved for many years in protests against the cutting of trees. Now I am running out of steam.
We have very strict laws on this right now …. the forest should not be cut down and the fields should not be destroyed
That is wonderful to hear Lado, we have laws on paper but nothing gets implemented.
Land grabbing, more space to build buildings and infrastructure in the name of the development; we should stop blaming the nature for everything. We also causing anxiety in the animal kingdom. They are no longer at peace and how many animals has man led to extinction? A sad reality!
A very sad reality and a bleak future for mankind. Well said Introvert.
Farmers are never happy from the government
I get what you mean here.
