The rituals that surround food, its preparation are just as important to me as choosing the ingredients, mixing, grinding, whipping, making recipes. When I listen to Rufus Wainwright feat. Dido – I Eat Dinner words, I get a desire to enjoy many things that people forget, especially over the years: candlelight, romance, talks about cozy things, kisses, kitchen experiments, evenings when the TV is off.
I get the desire to give thanks that food is vital to a person, that we can share it with our loved ones and friends, that we have the opportunity each day to attend a celebration called dinner.
The setting sun, the wide table to fit all, the table coverings, the lavender fragrance wipes, the bouquet of flowers, the open windows, the smells that are just unimaginable, but most importantly, we are all together.
Dinner is not just about satiety, taste, smells, it’s conversation, laughter, contemplation, compliments, life lessons, even tears of joy. Food is one of life’s great pleasures: after all, you may not even realize how simple food sharing and conversations create a tiny paradise on earth.
Homemade food shared with your family members can fill your home with a coziness that cannot be bought for any money.

As much as food is important for us sometimes I just don’t get too much pleasure from eating
