I just picked these cherry tomatoes form my garden. The plants are loaded with them and the fruits are falling all over the place. Quite a few of the tomatoes have fallen to the ground in the heavy rains we had yesterday. I had to pick them and throw them in the compost bin or the slugs and snails would be all over the place.
I love eating these extra sweet cherry tomatoes. They taste amazing when they are slightly roasted in butter and sprinkled with a dash of pepper and salt.
I just add them to my salads as well. My little girl Zoe (our pet dog) loves them. She can eat any number of tomatoes. She loves carrots and green beans as well. Right now we have no green beans in our garden, but hopefully in another month’s time we should have some.
I would also be planting carrots in a weeks time. Hopefully we can get a good harvest. however with a container garden there is only so much you can get. I always feel better eating stuff from my garden as I know how it is grown and what goes into my system.

I do not think my dog loves vegetables
Actually only one of my dogs loves veggies.
Love these tiny tomatoes, very tasty.
They are incredibly sweet.
I once had planted tomatoes in our backyard but it was raided by aphids so I stopped planting.
We have the white mealy bugs trying to destroy our tomatoes. I do a weekly spray of homemade organic insecticide to get rid of them.
I have a garden and I really enjoy the produce I produce. Your pet is amazing at being a vegetable. ?
Good to hear that Vidocka. Zoe loves veggies more than meat.
They look cute, I love cherry tomatoes. It’s always so rewarding to create or grow something yourself.
It is indeed amazing to grow something you can eat. I love eating fresh cabbages from my garden as well.
My garden is already resting and waiting for spring, dear friend
I understand. Thankfully we have have things growing in our garden all year round.
You really are lucky, dear Dawn … only when does the earth rest?
I only have a container garden so I just re-pot every season.
Yes, you have completely different gardening conditions, dear Dawn
Yeah i always feel happy for my own creation
That feeling is amazing isn’t it?
You have always talked of bumper crop of tomatoes in your garden and your photo says it all
After a long time I had a few tomatoes. I have sown seeds again from one of the tomatoes from this crop and I see they have germinated.
I have had a better crop this time with the large tomatoes, the cherry tomatoes are not encouraged for lack of space, I have just 4 plants.
It is hard in our neighborhood even for container gardens. The HOA (Homeowners Association) has many rules about what can, and cannot be outdoors. But, I do love cherry tomatoes your crop looks wonderful!!!
You cannot have a container garden in your yard or balcony? I am surprised , I had about 100 plants even in our medium sized apartment.
we live in a very restrictive community. I think we could have a container garden, but the problem is our back deck (where we would be allowed to have one) is completely shaded most of the day.
Oh I understand now. nothing much grows in the shade.
nothing really does, including, below the deck area, the grass that doesn’t love the shade.
