“Don’t let what you cannot do, stop you from doing what you can do.”~ Unknown
The image above is called: Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs shows that, as long as we have food, water, warmth, and shelter, our primary need is attention, recognition, and praise from others. These factors are the driving forces behind everything we do, each and every day: including when we choose to share a headline on social media. In BuzzSumo’s survey of 100 million headlines published between March 1st and May 10th, 2017, they found that the 3-word phrase (trigram) “will make you” get double the Facebook shares of this popular word trigram. That’s a huge difference!

Thank you for sharing this Andre. Hope you are staying safe and well.
Maslow’s hierarchy was a core basis of my original training as a school teacher. If you don’t meet the base needs you can’t teach the higher needs!
I had a hunch that it might have been the case, so, my gamble played out, (lol) I wrote the post for you. As a V E R Y low-level Military Trait-analyst, until like so many other relics of my day, we were simply put out to pasture in the ’90s. I really loved my job. Cheers, pal.
well you nailed it!!!
have you ever heard of an OODA loop?
I know that it was a kind of psyche evaluation module designed by the American military, which is about the full extent of my understanding of the Acronym.
Believe it or not, Doc, our higher-ups were covertly working very closely with the US back in the day until the “Communists” took over in the 90s everything came crashing down.
i believe it!
it was a decision making framework designed by John Boyd (air force COL) he was called the 60 second man. Nobody, even in his 60s could beat him in a dog fight.
Observe Orient Decide Act
a system with feedback looks designed to improve decision making!
I had a look at your air force col. John Boyd. He was really a remarkable man and held fantastic record. Observe, orient, decide, golden rules to live by, indeed. Thanks again!
he is an amazing person! I live by OODA Loops (there are many feedback loops within that as well). It is a great decision tmaking framework.
My favorite part is to change the observation, all you have to do is change the orientation of the observer!
Not just in sharing on Facebook, the concept of this hierarchy of needs is applied in choosing a product or service to offer.
That is indeed the case, but the study group used Facebook as their prime model.
