There comes a time when as a parent you have to decide to cut the cord, to release the little birds from your ever-vigilant gaze. We’ve slowly moved to that over the past couple of years. Last night we stayed on the boat, so the picture today comes from that trip. It was a delightful evening with the two of us heading to the boat, then hopping on the water taxi and going over to Annapolis. We were planning on dinner, a little tourist stuff, and shopping. We decided not to take our boat over, because we would have to come back in pitch dark. While that is something we could do, we decided it wasn’t something we wanted to do. Instead, we took the water taxi over, and then afterward returned to the boat for fun relaxing conversation.
