A visit from the always resplendent Captain L: ars. His jaunty cap, pipe, and grip upon the wheel make him the ideal boating companion! I suspect based on the lack of going out to the Bay over the weekend that the fair captain would say hooey on us. I do wonder from time to time if he seeks something on the water? Something he can’t find on land? As Ahab, or instead perhaps an old man on the sea, or Horatio Hornblower there is more to the story than the grip upon the wheel. Lars isn’t a big talker, his pipe clenched between his teeth, his toothy grin always there. He doesn’t say much. But in not saying much does he say more? I wonder sometimes, as we wander, what does yon Captain think?
