Montenegro is a small, but extremely beautiful country, located in the Mediterranean basin, separated from the Italian with the Adriatic Sea. In this small area, you will experience a lot of excitement – you will admire the world’s finest fjord, the deepest canyon in Europe – Tara. Each corner of Montenegro is unique in its nature, and all of it is located in an area that occupies so little space.
This tiny Mediterranean country that its independence from the Serbia country has declared only in 2006, but it has what to offer for each traveler. For nature lovers – mountain trails, blue rafting rivers through the deepest European canyons. For the cultural lovers – the cramped cities of Medieval Venice, the Orthodox monasteries. The seaside resorts are waiting for “each pocket”: from little rooms for rent to mega yachts.
The typical bored gigantic hotels are just a few in Montenegro. Although more and more tourists are visiting its cities, they somehow remain unique. Half of the state is at a height of more than a kilometer and almost all the roads here are constant serpentines. Some are very narrow, but this is probably the only inconvenience of Montenegro.
We have a offer this summer to go in Budva for 7 days. It was very cheap. Too bad we didn’t go. I hope we will go next summer. Greetings from Croatia.
My husband was born in Serbia in 1939 and was there until his family, which had been in prison for their politics, managed to escape. Even he was in jail with them when he was ten years old. He loves Serbia, but doesn’t have have much good to say about Communism or socialism.
