Schwerin, with fewer than 100,000 inhabitants, is the smallest capital of the German federal state surrounded by picturesque neighborhoods. In the city’s territory are lakes that reflect the clouds flying through the northern sky. Urban symbol: Schwerin Castle – clear, light, bright and friendly – like the city itself.
The graceful Schwerin Castle of the 19th century is undoubtedly the most famous place of the city of Schwerin, located in Germany on the seven lakes. The Dukes of Mecklenburg for a long time lived in the Schwerin Castle, also known as the North Noishwastein. The castle, as if lying on the lake, enchants visitors by its romantic atmosphere. Now, there is the museum opened for the visitors. Schwerin is located about 100 km east of Hamburg, the second largest city in Germany.
it worth visiting it, and you can see the castle not only from inside but you can take a boat trip and make nice photos from the distance. Unfortunately, when we had a visit, the day was very gray so the photos went bad.
Great place surrounded by trees and water. I would enjoy visiting it if ever I can.
Great picture! Looks like a postal card
It is such a pity, that world climate extremes are destroying so many old heritage sites, let’s hope these castles will survive. Thank you for sharing
