Here is a broad walk of a beach that I visited on a sunny day, Beachlands. It is quite a drive to get there.
I went there sometime last year.
I noticed there was no one swimming that day. I don’t know why, but further south there is a beach called “Mareatai” and it has a wharf, people do go swimming there and the beach is opposite Waiheke Island.
Very beautiful nature gathered in one place
Thanks so much Elenka, glad you like it
Exquisite! It seems like the sky and sea are very compact embracing the greenness that is full of enthusiasm
Thanks so much Albert, glad you like it.
You are most welcome, Pamela.
Thanks so much Tasartcraft, glad you like it.
I love the blue of the water, wonderful! I am curious as well now that you brought it up, why no one is swimming there.
Thanks Doc, I remember going and realising that no one was swimming there and wondered why they weren’t but perhaps Mareatai up the road was a better swimming beach.
It could be rip tides or well who knows. Lovely picture Pam!!!!
Where this beach Island is located ?
This beach is South East Auckland. Thanks Witty Feeds.
That’s nice , look very beautiful I would love to visit this island
Mareatai sound like a race of warriors. Most likely amazons if I’m doing them…
Thanks Alex, the name “Mareatai” has a Maori meaning and Im not sure what it means. The Maoris are a warrior race, so they will be a mixture of both sexes. I wouldn’t want to meet one of them in a dark alley, they are really tough
I suspected as much, but phonetically the name sounds a bit like matriarch and if I do a race of warriors, they’re bound to be female…
Wonderful landscape. You had a nice, relaxing walk
Thanks Vidocka, quite a few people were walking that day including myself
Wonderful scenery! ?
It is a good thing nobody was swimming there, people tend to ruin the landscape. ?
Thanks Sabtraversa, maybe you are right. I think this beach is a bit rocky and we are used to sand. It is quite nice when it is clear of swimmers other than fish.
I can imagine. Rocky sands are the cleanest, but feet hurt a little. ?
Rocky sands? Is that a thing? ?
I meant rocky beaches, whoops.
Oh, sorry about that. Meant to say. Some beaches have rocks where you go swimming.
Most beaches in Auckland are sandy beaches and sand is easiest on the feet.
What a beautiful sunny day!
Thanks so much Carol, glad you like it.
