If you’re looking for a fun place to take the kids, the Sea Life Aquarium in Kansas City, Missouri is a good spot. The aquarium is co-located with Lego Land at the Crown Center Plaza in downtown Kansas City. In the above video, I captured some wonderful views of sting rays, sea horses, sharks, moon jellies, eels, and plenty of fish.
In general, our kids have always loved going aquariums, and the Sea Life Aquarium was a very nice facility. There was a good variety of fish and the tanks were well stocked. While it was pretty crowded the day that we went, we were still able get up close views of the displays. It just required a little patience.
When I lived in Kansas City, there was no aquarium. 🙁 I still have fond memories of Swope Park Zoo, however.
