Approximately 80 miles outside of Denver, Granby is a lovely area to go camping and hiking. Nestled between the Araphaho National Forest and Rocky Mountain National Park, you’ll have plenty of hiking routes to choose from. Although man-made, Lake Granby is the second largest lake in Colorado and offers visitors the opportunity to go hiking or fishing. Boat rentals are available at lakeside marinas.
If you don’t catch anything, there are plenty of restaurants available downtown. I took my youngest out for some ice cream at a local shop. Still, the beautiful views are the real treat.
