Golubac (Pigeon) Fortress interior appearance.

Robin Biznis September 12.2019 Belgrade, Serbia

The reconstruction of the Golubac Fortress, started in July 2014, included the reconstruction of the ramparts and all ten of its towers, the construction of the coastal fort and the visitor center, as well as the breakthrough of a new tunnel and the construction of an 800 m long bypass so that the Djerdap highway does not continue through the fort. More than € 8.5 million  was spent on the reconstruction of the fortress from EU funds alone. After the fortress is reconstructed, the construction of commercial facilities such as restaurants, cycle paths, sports grounds, swimming pools, fishing village, apartments, artist studios and a boat marina is planned. The Fortress itself is accessible to visitors. There are several halls and three towers that can be viewed. The interior is very nicely decorated. There is a permanent art exhibition for sale. There is a video projector where you get to know the history of the fort through the movie. For foreign visitors, besides the guides, all photos are written in addition to Serbian and English. My photos will only show some of the content.Enjoy.
