Gerakini, Halkidiki in Greece

Gerakini is a settlement in Greece. It is about 80 km from Thessaloniki and 65 km from Thessaloniki International Airport. It is located in the Toroness Bay, between Kassandra and Sithonia. In Sithonia, magnesite is obtained, a mineral in the shape of a white stone. He has different apps. Today, on one side of the beach there is an abandoned mine. According to the legend, the settlement bears the name of Queen Ierakina, who lived in antiquity.

There are the church and the police. Local residents are mainly farmers who process olive trees for olive oil and olives.
