Some of them are about building it, others are about how and why it was called the Devil. Naturally, we can not know exactly where the truth is and which of these myths refers to a real story. Nevertheless, these traditions are an integral part of the bridge and the mystery surrounding it. Therefore, in the section “Interesting Facts”, we will present you some of the most common legends about the mysterious bridge of the Arda River, in the hope that we will also awaken your interest in the strange building.
According to some, one of the stones shows a footprint of the Devil’s footstep left after one of his walks on the bridge. This legend tells us that the place itself brings misery and death to anyone who dares to get closer.
