If you are ever in the Denver area, the Denver Botanic Gardens is worth a visit. The grounds, which are quite extensive, are broken into a series of collections (Alpine, Amenity, Aquatic, Native, Steppe, Tropical, Cactus & Succulents). They have good signage to assist garden aficionados build their home gardens. Plus, their indoor greenhouses provide a glimpse of many tropical plants that can be viewed year round. In addition to their normal viewing hours, the Gardens host special events like concerts, dining, and holiday events. Below, I’ve included a few of my favorite pictures from one of our visits to the Botanic Gardens.
