Bamboo rafts, Nam Pan Lake, Sang Khom in UdonThani.
A long row of food and drink stalls are offered for visitors to choose from. You can also bring your own. A mix of the two might suit most. Raft hire is 150 THB each hour on the water. Each raft has three life jackets and extra ones can be rented for 10 THB each. Safety should not be an issue for non-swimmers who might wish to have fun in the water. The rafts, once hired, are towed out to the lake. When time’s up you are gently hauled back to shore.
Nam Pan Lake must rate as one of the best fun and leisure activities outside Udon Thani City. I’m sure better media coverage would high-tail it into the top list of Udon Thani attractions. The lake is a great day out and one that won’t push your budget boat too far past the pier. That’s once you arrive because Nam Pan Lake is a 90 minute steady-as-you-go car ride from Udon Thani city.
I think I would be a little uneasy on one of these. Let’s face it. I am simply a wimp.
That’s really interesting. Nice.
They like ducks in UdonThani for sure.
