Blog: If it doesn't benefit where I ‘am headed then I have no interest in it

As a newly graduate from college my standards have increased as far as what duties I look for a job to possess. If it does not benefit where I ‘am headed, then I have no interest in it because I feel as though it is a step back versus the career direction I ‘am headed towards. I have noticed that the jobs I have applied for look for what you have done that can benefit them, not what you have done previously. And it is quit humbling to see my application get rejected when I know personally that I’m capable of doing what ever job I applied for, but employers do not know that because they just look at the key highlights that benefit them on your application or resume.

  1. It’s not easy getting a job but I’m sure you’ll finally get one that is good for you and you’ll be happy in there!! 🙂

      • Hmm… if what you studied is quite specific then usually they’d be more picky… or they’d take someone who would take bonds with them … (that is sometimes what happened in my country) … but don’t worry, you’ll eventually get one of your choice 🙂

    • I’ll definitely take your prayer, Witty. And thank you very much. I do have a job, but I’am in search for a job pertaining to my degree of studies which becomes a totally different level of search.

  2. quite humbling I imagine. Perhaps you should hire a professional to write your resume. I know that in the company where I work references are key and there are key words and specific formats in resumes they are looking for.
